What is your water actually costing you?

Most plants pay for the same water three times over — to buy it, to heat it, and again to discharge it, often with a strength charge on top. Recycling process water back into production removes all three at once.

Put in your own volumes and utility rates and this will tell you how many gallons that is a year, and what they are worth. Everything stays in your browser: nothing is submitted, and you do not need to give us your details to see the answer.

1. How much water does the plant use?

All optional. Leave them blank and you will still get the water figures — fill them in and you get what that water is worth. These come off your own bill; nothing is assumed about what you pay.

4. What is driving this?

Optional, and it changes none of the numbers — it tells the engineer who reads this what matters to you before they call.

Your results

Enter your water use on the left and the numbers appear here. Nothing is submitted anywhere, and you do not have to give us your details to see them.

How this works, and what it cannot tell you

The calculation is the same one Norchem’s engineers use when they model a water reuse project: the share of your fresh water that can be recycled, applied to the volume you actually draw, valued at the rates you actually pay.

What it cannot do is tell you what your recovery rate will be. That depends on your water chemistry, your process, and what you are trying to remove — which is why the result is shown as a range rather than a single number, and why there is no system price or payback figure here. Those belong in a proposal written by someone who has walked your plant.

Norchem’s UltraPure system reclaims up to 85% of wastewater and its heat, using a ceramic crossflow membrane and no added treatment chemicals. There is more on how it works under Sustainable Water Systems, and if you would like these numbers checked against your plant, start here.
