The National Pollution Prevention Roundtable put forth the 2025 Safer Chemistry Challenge, which aims to reduce the use of hazardous and toxic chemicals of concern to the environment and human health. By taking part in this challenge, we seek to use resources more efficiently and generate less waste. This will be done through source reduction and pollution prevention measures, including:
- selecting and using safer alternatives
- using cleaner processes; avoiding use and generation of toxic chemicals
- using green chemistry tools and designs
The U.S. Department of Energy’s Better Buildings Challenge aims to achieve 20% energy and water savings by 2020 in the Los Angeles area. As an active partner of the challenge, Norchem is dedicated to supplying environmentally friendly technology and expertise to property owners and managers in executing cost-effective building upgrades.
